Our sustainability efforts

Innovation to reduce impact

We invest in innovation of our product offers so that we can provide more energy efficient solutions and help our customers reduce their energy consumption and at the same time reduce their costs and potentially their related CO2e emissions.

Working towards a circular economy

We take a life cycle approach to the design, manufacture and use of our products in order to increase the circularity. This includes choice of materials, waste minimization, recyclability and services to support a longer lifetime.

Lowering carbon emissions

We actively work to lower our carbon footprint by adopting sustainable practices and utilizing renewable energy sources. Our goal is to create a more sustainable and less carbon-intensive production process.

Ecovadis Platinum 2025

Aasted proudly announces that we have once again been awarded the prestigious EcoVadis Platinum Medal, placing us in the top 1% of companies globally in our industry for sustainable practices.

Integrating sustainability is a necessity

“As a sustainability manager, I can only succeed when I get the entire organization to take action on the sustainability agenda – we need everyone to do their part. And they do. I see big commitment, which makes me confident we will reach our targets. Integrating sustainability into our operations is not just a goal; it’s a necessity. We strive to create products that are both innovative and sustainable, ensuring we meet the needs of today without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs.”

– Jesper Jerlang, Sustainability Manager

Progress towards our sustainability goals

In our latest sustainability report, we are proud to showcase significant strides in our sustainability journey. This graphic illustrates our progress in reducing carbon emissions, both in own operations and in the value chain. Despite significant economic growth, we have reduced our carbon emissions. We have achieved this by enhancing energy efficiency, joining a PPA solution, , and by delivering our most energy efficient solutions to the market, which is where our by far largest climate impact is. We have more initiatives in the pipeline to reduce our emissions even further, which you can read more about in our sustainability report here.

Highlights from our 2025 Sustainability Report

Our 2025 Sustainability Report showcase significant achievements and our ongoing efforts to our commitments and ambitions. Here are some key highlights:

  1. Decoupling emissions from economic growth:
Despite significant economic growth, we have now reduced our Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions with 32% since 2019 and our Scope 3 emissions with 55% since 2023. And we have our climate transition plan in place to reach our reduction targets for 2030 and strive towards Net Zero.
  2. Renewable energy innovation:
In 2025, we upgraded our heat pump systems, reducing natural gas dependency significantly, and we closed two PPA-agreements to ensure that, effective from 2026, our electricity consumption in Denmark is based on wind and solar. We have already achieved a renewable energy share of 62%, and this will increase significantly during 2026.
  3. Circular economy initiatives:
We have worked with our circular economy approach, and we have during 2025 integrated a circularity and sustainability assessment in our R&D process. Now, sustainability and circularity metrics are systematically taken into account, and we have updated our design manual with instructions to support implementation of circularity principles.
  4. Employee growth and well-being:
After a rapid growth from 2022 to 2024, the number of employees stabilized in 2025. We work hard to reduce work-related accidents and improve health and well-being at work, and we see tangible results in the form of increased employee engagement results and reduced rate of accidents.
  5. Recognized for sustainability management:
In 2025, we were for the 4th time in a row awarded the EcoVadis Platinum rating, placing Aasted in the top 1% of companies within our industry for our sustainability practices.
